Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Sprinter: Retro Athletics (“the App”) is a game for iPhone and iPad developed and operated by Paolo Furlan (“we”, “us”). For any question about this policy, contact goreste90@gmail.com.
2. Data we collect
Crash reports (Firebase Crashlytics)
- Stack traces and logs when the App closes unexpectedly
- Device model, iOS version, App version, free memory and disk space at the time of the crash
- The event you were playing when the crash happened (for example “skeet”)
- A random installation identifier generated by Crashlytics
Usage analytics (Firebase Analytics)
- App opens, sessions and engagement time
- Gameplay milestones: a game started (one or two players, starting event), an event entered, and game over (last event reached)
- Device type, iOS version, App version, language
- Approximate country/region, derived by Firebase from your IP address
- A random App instance identifier generated by Firebase
One-time install ping
- Sent once per installation, on first launch
- It includes a randomly generated installation identifier (not your Apple ID, device ID or advertising ID), the App version and build, device language/locale/region, whether the device is an iPhone or iPad, and the date
- Delivered to the developer's private Slack workspace so we know the App is being installed
This data is not linked to your name, email, Apple ID or any account. The App does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.
3. Data we do not collect
- Name, email address, phone number or other contact details
- Account credentials — there are no accounts
- Precise location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data
- Payment information
4. Data stored on your device
Your high score and world records are stored locally using standard iOS storage (UserDefaults). They never leave your device and we cannot access them. Deleting the App deletes them.
5. How we use data
Only to find and fix crashes, keep the App stable, and understand which events are played and where players stop, so we can improve the game. We do not sell data, show ads, or use data for advertising.
6. Third-party services
- Firebase Crashlytics — crash reporting, operated by Google LLC.
- Firebase Analytics — usage statistics, operated by Google LLC.
- Slack — receives the one-time install ping, operated by Slack Technologies, LLC (Salesforce). See the Slack Privacy Policy.
See Privacy and Security in Firebase. Google may process data in the United States and other countries; Google LLC participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting and loads no analytics, advertising or third-party scripts.
7. Data retention
Firebase Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months. Crashlytics crash data is kept for 90 days. Install pings are kept in the Slack channel until we delete them. You can ask us to delete data associated with your installation by emailing goreste90@gmail.com; we will submit the request to Firebase on your behalf.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The anonymous data described above contains no information that identifies a child.
9. Your rights (EEA, UK)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of personal data about you, and to object to processing. Our legal basis for crash reporting and analytics is our legitimate interest in keeping the App working and improving it. Because the data is anonymous, we may be unable to link it to you without the installation identifier. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
10. California privacy rights
We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents may contact us at goreste90@gmail.com with any request or question.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The current version is always published at this address with its “Last updated” date.
